Zumba Fitness: A blend of Latin, Regaetton, and World Dance styles become a hypnotic mix that makes working out feel like a party! Cardio and strength building make this class a win win!
Zumba Toning: Same great music as Zumba with toning sticks for added strength building and stamina. It’s the same party, but you now you can shake it with your sticks too!
Yogalates: We will explore the basics of yoga and conditioning to build strength, flexibility, and harmony in all our body, mind, and spirit. Our focus will be personal best and finding the adventure of knowing ourselves more deeply with each breath we take.
Barre Fitness: A cardio class combined with strength and flexibility training. Just like the interval training of Zumba fitness, we will incorporate Barre work for maximum benefits in target areas and the increased stability of a support so we can build to stronger and more toned physique.
All Zumba Toning, Zumba, and Barre Fitness participants want to wear lightweight shoes for easy lateral movement, a sports bra for ladies, and layered clothing. A towel and a water bottle are highly recommended. Jazz shoes or jazz sneakers are highly recommended.
Yogalates participants should wear layered clothing, no shoes, and bring a mat, towel, and water.
*Layered Clothing since you will start cool and warm up quickly
*Lightweight shoes/sneakers/dance sneakers so you can move easily
*Sports bra recommended for ladies due to the physical nature of the class
*Towel, water bottle, and a change of clothes if you don’t like to drive home sweaty
*YOGA STUDENTS- same attire as listed above and a mat. It is easiest barefoot, but you may wear shoes or socks if you desire.
- What is Zumba Fitness?

- Do I need to have dance training?
No. It’s set up like a fitness class and you follow along. We have 4 basic styles: Salsa, Cumbia, Regaetton, and Merengue. You learn the basics as you take the class. Bokwa is spelling and counting. No dance steps to learn and master.
- Do I sign up in advance? How do I reserve a spot?
You come to class and sign in. We do not require advanced registration.
- How will I know if I like it?
Your first trial class is free. It’s a win win!
- How do I join?
We have a liability waiver you will fill out at your first visit. We will procure your e-mail to let you in on class changes, additions, events, and the like. There are no membership fees.
- How do I pay?
We have three options. One is a drop in fee of $10. Second is a class card of ten classes for $75. Last is monthly payment of $50 and you can take all the Zumba classes you can handle!
- Why Genesis Arts LLC and not a gym?
We offer smaller class sizes than a gym and professional dancers/teachers who can break down the steps easily so you will not injure yourselves. Our director is also AFAA certified and knows how necessary it is to cater a class to the specifics of the people in the room, not just an ideal.
- What are Zumba shoes?
Zumba.com has shoes and attire for purchase through their website. We also recommend dance sneakers, lightweight tennis shoes such as Puma, and Ryka has a shoe for Zumba Fitness as well.
- What is the caloric burn for a class?
This will be client specific based upon age, health, and exertion. We find is it usually clocked at 600-1000 calories!
