About Us - About the Owners
Dance training begins with students aged 12 months -adult from beginning to pre-professional training! We offer ballet, pointe, jazz, hip hop, modern, tap, contemporary/lyrical, and acrobatics. Fitness training begins with students aged 4 -adult with offerings in ZumbAtomic, Zumba, Cardio Aerobics, and Toning classes! Musical Theatre training begins with students aged 4-adult No other program in Howard County puts equal focus on singing, dancing, and acting! There are no drill sergeants, no huge class sizes, no inappropriate music or costume choices! Just wonderful people who arrive each day ready to help you achieve your goals! ABOUT US Artistic Director Lori Browning has 39 years of dance experience and performance, 29 years of theatre training, 27 years of teaching experience, but more importantly, she loves her job! From the smallest to the tallest, she genuinely loves watching people improve themselves daily! Her training includes a BA in dance, performance experience with two professional local modern dance companies, and certifications in two ballet styles as well as Dance Educator of America teacher training in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acrobatics, and musical theatre. She is certified to by AFAA to teach aerobics and toning and by Zumba Fitness to teach Zumba and ZumbAtomic (Kids Zumba). She is trained in acting, voice, improvisation, stagecraft, and directing at Centennial High and UMBC. She has worked as a professional choreographer for musical theatre productions, recitals, competition, television, and events such as fashion and trade shows. Business Director Robert Browning has owned two businesses, one in insurance for 21 years and one in building/construction for 15 years. His interests include outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, canoeing, and fishing. He is also a snowboard instructor at Ski Whitetail in Mercersberg, PA. He will be handling accounts payable. Together the Browning share four children: Lori’s daughter, Taylor Pryor, and Robert’s children: Amy Dill, Dan Browning, and Lindsey Browning as well as their two kitties Eleanor Rigby and Sprout (also known as Brother Sprout). |
